The nuances of Beechwood Cemetery

The upscale, fair-sized Bridgehead coffee shop on Beechwood Avenue, banal generic coffee-related photos on the wall where there should be local art, is packed on a mid-week afternoon. Yes, there are one or two stroller mums and a pinch-hitting stroller granny, but there are several couples in chatty amour, and even more soloists firmly encased in the electronic bubble, headphones and a laptop seizing their full attention. World War III begins outside and no one notices.
